About this event

Hello, world!

This is the CS50 Educator Workshop 2024. We're excited about bringing together familiar faces from around the globe! 👋🌍

Whether you're a new or returning educator, we welcome you to Cambridge, Massachusetts to meet CS50's team and fellow CS50x or CS50 AP teachers. 🎉 Over two days, you'll take a peek "behind the pedagogy" with David J. Malan and learn from CS50's team about the many (new!) curricular resources available to you for free as a CS50x or CS50 AP teacher. Along the way, you'll meet and learn from other CS50x or CS50 AP educators, taking ideas you can adopt or adapt to your classroom.

🗓️ On Wednesday, June 26, you can expect to arrive for registration, attend a workshop session, and be treated to a reception to meet CS50's team and fellow educators.

🗓️ On Thursday, June 27, you can expect a packed day of workshop sessions focusing on how you can adopt or adapt CS50's courses in your classroom, school, or university. You'll also learn about CS50's tools for submitting and grading and how to take advantage of cs50.dev, a standardized, cloud-based programming environment (aka VS Code) that your students can use (for free), and cs50.ai, CS50's "rubber duck," a chatbot tailored to answering students' questions without spoiling assignments outright.

🗓️ On Friday, June 28, expect a half-day of workshop sessions followed by your CS50 Educator Workshop certificate presentation. And, of course, a group photo!

What you can expect to learn

In this workshop, you can expect to engage with other educators who have adapted CS50x and CS50 AP in compelling ways, share the changes you've made in your course implementation, and leave with a few "teaching gems" that inspire your classroom. If you're new to CS50, welcome aboard! You'll also have many opportunities to learn how to begin teaching CS50.

Whom this workshop is for

This workshop is for all teachers, those just beginning to teach CS50, and those with several years of experience.
